During the process of teamwork, trouble is inevitable.
In my understanding, troublemakers and malcontents are different.
Troublemakers are lack of responsibility. For example, they do not respond to discussion.
In this case, I will notice them or tell them to do their work.
It is because they do not carry their responsibility.
On the other hand, malcontents are people who oppose the idea.
For example, there is a idea whether we should allow something or not.
Most people in the group agree with the idea but only one disagrees.
It is easy to make a decision in terms of the principle of number.
However, the fact that they have the idea because they think about the best way for team.
Therefore, I need to respect their idea even if it may be difficult to engage them.
In the text, there was a fact that Shackleton had a potential troublemakers in his clue.
Even in this situation, he kept his relationships with them.
Since a group work is long term, I think that keeping relationship is the best way.
Oh, it is close to win-win situation!
Hi Kaoru,
返信削除I also read and wrote about chapter 7. However, I could not notice the relationship between Shackleton's expedition and win-win situation. How interesting your opinion is! Thanks to your blog, I could understand chapter 7.
Hi Kaoru,
返信削除Yes, I like the win-win connection you make too. The part about respecting and being on good terms with everyone, even the malcontents, is an important one, I think.

Hi, Kaoru:D
返信削除I'm especially impressed by your opinion about malcotents because I feel showing respect toward different ideas is difficult for me...
So, that's what I need to improve!lol
Thanks for noticing it to me again:)
